About The Warriors Landing

A home built by someone who’s spent a career in this work.

Our mission, our philosophy, and the person who built this community from the ground up.

Our Mission

Structure, accountability, and hope — under one roof.

The Warriors Landing provides safe, structured sober living in St. Petersburg, Florida that helps veterans and civilians rebuild their lives with dignity, accountability, and hope. We welcome anyone in recovery from addiction who is ready to do the work of building a life worth living.

We also understand that recovery rarely happens in a straight line. Unhealed trauma can make it harder to stay grounded, and many of the people we serve carry pain that doesn’t always show. We’re not a clinical treatment center — but we are a compassionate, stable home where healing has room to take root, and where no one has to do it alone.

Many sober living homes are crowded, with several people packed into one bedroom. We do it differently: six residents maximum, only two to a room, a spotless house, and a spacious backyard built for lounging, community, and the occasional afternoon BBQ.

What We Stand On

Our Values

Trust

The foundation of every relationship in this house.

Stability

A consistent, structured environment to grow in.

Respect

For every resident’s path, pace, and dignity.

Compassion

Support delivered without judgment or pity.

Accountability

Real standards, held with care.

Community

Lasting friendships, not just roommates.

Recovery

The daily work, one day at a time.

“Bridging the Gap”

Between treatment and independent living.

Our Philosophy

Three principles guide everything we do.

1

Move the Body, Change the Mind

Healing happens through action, not by staying stuck in thought. Group fishing excursions, fellowship BBQs, yoga, and daily movement aren’t extras — they’re part of the program.

2

Clarity Comes From Engagement, Not Thought

Growth comes from participation in life — meetings, service work, sponsorship, and showing up for your community — not from waiting until you feel ready.

3

Do the Footwork, Leave the Outcome to God

A faith-influenced foundation — “Hope Through Faith” — that respects every resident’s own path, focused on what’s within your control.

Charlie, founder of The Warriors Landing

Charlie founded The Warriors Landing after nearly two decades working directly inside behavioral health and recovery housing — from admissions and intake to resident support and program oversight. He built this house the way he believes sober living should work: small, structured, and genuinely accountable.

As a Client Engagement & Admissions Coordinator for Spencer Recovery Centers Florida, Charlie helped individuals and families navigate treatment access, placement, and care coordination — facilitating support groups, managing daily program operations, and coordinating with clinical teams. He holds direct experience with VA benefits (Optum & TriWest Healthcare Alliance), Medicaid, and private insurance systems, and has represented recovery organizations in outreach with veteran organizations and community stakeholders. Earlier in his career, he served as a Resident Aide in a structured recovery residence in Laguna Beach, CA — hands-on experience supporting residents through daily routines, safety, and program participation.
